Cincinnati's Riverfest celebration on Labor Day weekend is touted as one of the largest fireworks shows around. The banks of the Ohio River become more and more crowded as people gather to see the evening show.

In a July 2007 interview in Covington, Kentucky, Melvin Grier reflected on the final months of his career at the Cincinnati Post, as the paper prepared to close its doors.

"I'm proud to say I've got 280-some grandchildren. I've got all the students in school," Betty White, known to most people as Mamaw Betty, said. Many people describe the school as having a family atmosphere.

Augusta Independent Schools, located in Augusta, Kentucky, is a pre-kindergarten through 12th grade school where all students are located in one building.

I spent a few days at the school in early 2007, photographing and interviewing some of the students, faculty and local residents. Old School is a flash-based site that I made for the project.
